Owl Practice Suite is looking for a QA Engineer who will help us deliver high-quality, reliable software that meets user expectations. We are looking to expand our testing expertise, improve software quality, implement continuous process improvement and increase cross-functional collaboration.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, security, and usability.
- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, bugs, or issues in the software.
- Analyze and document test results, providing detailed reports on software quality and defects found.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and ensure software meets specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
- Maintain and update test automation frameworks and tools.
- Contribute to the development of testing strategies, processes, and best practices.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities related to testing efforts.
As Our Ideal Candidate, You Will Have
- 2+ years of experience
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience in writing clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing
- Proficiency with Cypress for end-to-end testing and experience with other tools is a plus
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar
- Knowledge of performance testing tools like Locust, JMeter or equivalent
- Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages like Python, TS, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
Prior experience in the technology, SaaS, or customer service domain would be highly valuable.
