Owl Practice Suite is looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to focus on daily operations of our insurance billing team. This role will be providing advanced technical expertise and support to diagnose and resolve complex issues, ensuring optimal application performance for our internal teams as well as customers.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide expert technical support addressing user inquiries and resolving issues reported by internal teams.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot application issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to identify, replicate, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Monitor application performance metrics and conduct regular maintenance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including support processes, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
- Assist in the deployment of software updates and new releases, ensuring compatibility and smooth transitions.
- Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to enhance user proficiency.
As Our Ideal Candidate, You’ll Have:
- 4+ years of experience as an Application Support Engineer or a similar role.
- Proven experience as an Application Support Engineer or similar role.
- Experience working in a Windows environment, including terminal servers.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and troubleshooting code, with a strong foundation in programming. While development experience is preferred, the ability to effectively analyze and resolve coding issues is prioritized.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management, with the ability to write and optimize queries.
- Familiarity with VB6, ASP and Microsoft Access highly desirable.

- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical users.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with application monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques is a plus.
